The car looks very nice and the handling is smooth. I love the hatch back feature. One of the keys went through a washing machine cycle with no damage. The back up camera is very useful, but I would prefer to have a larger clear view out the back window.
The car seemed to handle the snow and ice fairly well.
The folding side mirrors are a very nice perk.
The robot voice command feature doesn't seem to pick up what my voice says very well. It often completely misunderstands, but it is really nice to be able to make phone calls without a phone to the ear.
The following are negatives.
The car does not have much road clearance, not good for back roads or even snow. The turning diameter
The trim does not look completely attached.
As with many cars, it has no real bumper.
The finish scratches very easily.
I previously had a Yaris. I had no problem adjusting the seat to be comfortable and see. After almost 2 years of owning the Corolla, I still can't find a comfortable driving position. The driver's seat, steering wheel, feet space for gas and brake are cramped. It is not easy to get in and out.
The gas mileage of 30 is very poor considering how many years the industry has been working on gas mileage and the importance environmentally of better gas mileage. The car exhaust smells when it is started. As with most cars, the air intake is in the front fairly low because if the fresh air is on while in traffic, the car will fill with exhaust fumes.
The ride is rough on bumpy roads.
The radio and display is confusing and busy. The steering wheel blocks some parts of the display.
The mileage dial has numbers only at 40 60 80 and is small so that it is hard to see when it is at 55, or 70 the prevailing speed limits on many of the freeways. It is hard to figure out the mileage of each trip.
The tail pipe which is metal has what looks like rust beginning at the seam in the pipe but the dealership does not think it is an issue and says there is nothing they can do.…

I decided to lease this in Jan. 17. Overall, its a great car. Handling, space inside, ext. looks. To me, this is one of Toys best looking cars. Its sporty, pretty comfy, and peppy in sport mode, otherwise, it you drive it normal, it can be a bit boring. I like to chomp on the pedal, and it does respond quite well. Even though this is the automatic, its 7 speeds and lets you flip it into manual, and this car/engines, responds well in this mode. Mileage, well, being a toy, I thought it would do better. Around town high 20s, on the highway with cruise on, it can hit the high 30s and I have seen 42 max. This car came stock with the Bridgestone Ecopia tires, which Ive used before on another ride. They help squeeze max miles out and are great handling. Steering is a bit cold and distant, however min. movement will get you to oversteer if youre not focused in. Braking is great. Seats could be more comfy, not headed and no lumbar control. They look better than they feel after a many mile trip. No cd, and no nav, is a minus in my book. However, sound is pretty good with some tweaks and it does allow you to stream via your phone/map/nav., as well, if you know what to select. No Android or Apple. Screen is nice and handles the rear cam., as well. WARNING though, with their cams all around this ride, the manual basically tells you, you WILL be ratted out if accident, as it stores X-amount of time that can be accessed by insurance or the cops. Im SURE, if I was keeping it and some tweaking the engine this thing has potential, yet at the point of lease end in 20, all these car mfrs and a few new ones entering the market this next round of rides with all this tech is gonna be some FUN great stuff, enjoy!…

Toyota IM what is it?thats what most ask when telling of my new ride.i had a 2004 matrix back in the day and Im sure this is a better replacement. with all the safety gear and wishbone suspension this car is a steal for under 20 grand.its Toyota and built in japan and probably used as a tuner car there.after market parts are offered like lowering kit cold air intake and custom exhaust.so far I just changed to cold air and with in sport mode and 7speed stick auto it feels like Im driving a much pricier sports car and still averaging 33 mpg.will update later after few more miles and exhaust upgrade.…
